Sea Dwellers of New Jersey has been repairing all dive gear since 1991 when we opened in Hillsdale. We service everything we sell and when we cannot we will get the manufacturer involved and do our best to get the manufacturer to repair or warranty the product. Ted has over 40 years of experience servicing regulators, gauges, scuba cylinders and valves. He has a world of knowledge in this department.

Regulator Repairs - $65, plus parts
We will service all brands of regulators except Dacor and Buchat. Sea Dwellers offers a store policy if you have these type of regulators we will offer you a trade in and upgrade to a oceanic or zeagle regulator with a $150 reduction in price. A standard regulator such as an Oceanic, Zeagle, Mares, U.S. Divers, Aqua Lung, Dive Rite, Cressi Sub, Atomic, Scuba Pro, Sherwood will all be serviced for a cost of $65 for labor and plus parts.
Octopus Servicing - $35/$40
All octopuses in these brands will be serviced for $35 plus parts. The air sources meaning inflator and octopus together on a BC used as an Octopus or in a sharing air situation are serviced at a price of $40 plus parts this includes manufacturers such as Oceanic, Zeagle, Scuba Pro, and some sea quest models.
Computer Battery Replacement - $20
Buoyancy Compensators - $20+
All Buoyancy Compensators should have an annual inspection and if needed service. In this inspection we check to see if the BC Is holding air and that all dump valves are working properly and holding air also. Repair on Bcs such as a puncture is $20 repair. An interior bladder replacement is the cost of the bladder and a $50 labor charge. If dump valves are leaking it is a $20 labor charge plus parts. Inflators are checked to make sure they are functioning properly and if needed serviced for $25 plus parts
Wet Suits - $20/hr
We do minor wet suit repair holes and rips are the most common and labor is by the hour at $20 per hour if we have to do any modifications or alterations to the suit they must be sent out a estimate must be required
Masks, Fins, and Snorkels
We carry mask straps, mask purge valves, and fin straps they are easily replaced for driver. We have no parts for masks that break or crack. In this day and age mostly all this equipment is manufactured overseas and they do not provide us with parts.
Scuba Cylinder Inspection - $20
Visual Inspection is required each year by every dive shop in this country. In the Visual Inspection we empty the tank of all air or gas we look inside the cylinder for any corrosion or rust. If everything is okay we replace the o –ring at the valve we make sure the valve is functioning probably and we refill the tank. After all this is done we put a new sticker on the tank and it expires in one year.
Hydrostatic Test - $45 (steel or aluminum)
This must be performed on every scuba cylinder every five years. In this test we empty all the air or gas out of the tank and we take it to a hydro test facility which are certified by Department of Transportation.
Oxygen Cleaning of Scuba Cylinders - $35
Sea Dwellers has been involved in Oxygen cleaning of scuba cylinders since the beginning of nitrox diving. All nitrox cylinders need to be cleaned anything greater than 21% oxygen must be oxygen cleaned. In this process we empty the tank of all gas we remove the valve we clean the inside of the tank with a special cleaning agent with a 160 degree to 180 degree water this cleaning agent will remove all hydro carbons we dry the tank.
Oxygen Cleaning of Tank Valves - $35/$75 (single valve/double valve)
The tank valve also must be oxygen cleaned we disassemble it , we clean it with our special cleaning agents, we replace all o – rings with Viton o-rings which oxygen compatible and we reassemble it.
